3. THEATRE WORKS SUCCESSFUL OPENING!
This past month, our friends Connie and Mark
Anderson opened
Theatre Works season with a very successful
production of “Nunsense”,
which featured performances by Kaleidoscope
Theatre members,
Connie Anderson and Emily Luther. One night,
David Payton,
Kaleidoscope Theatre’s Executive Director,
made a guest appearance
as a fundraising monk! Next month, their
season will
continue with “The Boys Next Door”, which
will be directed by Connie
and will feature performances by
Kaleidoscopians Mark Anderson,
Greg Bonin, and Kevin Broccoli. This
production runs November 10th
through November 19th. Check out their
website www.twri.org for more
information.
4. BOBBY MACAUX – ADVOCATES IN ACTION
Recently, one of our members, Bobby Macaux
(seen onstage
this summer as Dominic in “Sleeping Beauty”
and William the Great in
“Jack and the Beanstalk”) was asked to
perform at the Advocates in
Action Self-Advocacy Conference on Thursday,
October 26th. The theme
of this year’s conference is “Let’s
Celebrate” and Bobby intends to do
just that! Bobby and Eric Desnoyers (as
Prince Stefan) will be performing
‘The Knight’s Song’ from “Sleeping Beauty”
as part of the opening
ceremonies. For more information on
self-advocacy and Advocates in
Action, look at www.aina-ri.org.
