With this issue, we’d like to wish “Bon Voyage!” to
our Artistic Director, Tommy Iafrate, who is
embarking on a six-month performance tour on the
largest cruise ship in the world! Also, we’d like to
make everyone aware of Rhode Island Monthly
Magazine’s 2007 Best of Rhode Island Voting!

1. UPCOMING PERFORMANCES
This month, Kaleidoscope Theatre will be going out
on tour to the lovely state of New Jersey.
On April 27th and 28th, we will be performing “The
Three Pigs” at the
Kelsey
Theatre,
which is located on the Mercer County Community
College campus. The shows on Friday will be
performed at
9:45am
and
11:15am; the Saturday performances will be in the
afternoon at 2:00pm and 4:00pm. For more information

2. BOOK A FIELD TRIP NOW!
The “Three Pigs” will also be performed locally at
the Scottish Rites Auditorium in
Cranston,
RI
on Thursday, May 17th at
10:00am. We only have 75 seats left, so if your
child’s daycare, pre-school, or school class would
like to attend, please call us at (401) 942-3637.
Tickets are $6.00 each.
3. BEST OF RHODE ISLAND 2007
We’re very excited to announce that from April 1st
to May 15th, all our members and fans can log onto
Rhode Island Monthly Magazine’swebsite to vote for
Kaleidoscope Theatre! In 2005, we were named “Best
Children’s Theatre Company of Rhode Island” and we
would love to receive that honor again. We’ve
provided a direct link to their website on our

and start voting now!
4. TOMMY’S UPCOMING HIGH SEAS ADVENTURE
At this time, we would like to announce that our
Artistic Director, Tommy Iafrate, has been hired to
perform on a six-month Royal Caribbean cruise! He
was asked to play saxophone, clarinet, and flute on
the maiden voyage of the “Liberty of the Seas”. The
“Liberty” along with her sister ship, “Freedom of
the Seas”, are the largest cruise ships in the
world! We’re so proud of Tommy
and we wish him the best of luck! We’re going to
miss him, but don’t worry everyone, he’ll be back in

5. ONLINE CONTEST
To promote the usage of our ‘blogs among both our
fans and members, we are having an online contest!
The first person to answer the hidden question will
win two free tickets to our season opener at Rhode
Island College!

6. SUPPORT OUR MEMBERS
When not working with Kaleidoscope Theatre, our
members bring their varied talents to other venues.
Here's a sampling of productions that will feature
our members in the upcoming months (in chronological
order):
A. On April 5, our Office/Stage Manager, Nicole
Frechette will be stage managing the upcoming
performance of “Women, War, Desert” at Rhode Island
College. This staged reading will be directed by
RIC
faculty member, Naum Panovski and will feature the
performances of Mira Furlan (recently seen on the
hit TV show “Lost”) and Nahassiu deGaness. For
tickets or more information, please call the

B. Jamie Dellorco, last seen as Putricia in
"Cinderella's Christmas", along with fellow
Kaleidoscopian Michael Marchak, has been cast in the
Academy Players production of "A Chorus Line". For
those familiar with this play, Jamie will be playing
Bebe and Michael will be Mark. Production dates are
April 20-22 and 26-29. For more information, check

C. Also in April, numerous Kaleidoscopians
(including Jen Drummond and Justin Robinson), will
perform in “Damn Yankees” at Rhode Island College.
Performance dates are April 19-22. For more

D. "Thoroughly Modern Millie" will be performed on
May 4, 5, and 6 at Woonsocket High and will feature
performances by Emily Luther (as Millie), James
Lambert (as the Letch), and by our Assistant
Technical Director Chris Cournoyer (as Jimmy)!
E. Bobby Macaux, who regularly plays ‘David’ for us
in “I’m Special, You’re Special” will be performing
in “Intermittence” with the Black Box Players at the
Artist Exchange (50
Rolfe Square,
Cranston,
RI).
This annual one-act play festival will be performed
nightly at
7:00pm starting the second week of June. Tickets are

Well, that concludes this month's edition. New and
exciting things keep happening here at Kaleidoscope
Theatre as we start to gear up for our 30th
anniversary season and celebration! Stay tuned for
