Two beloved holiday classics return to the Scottish Rite Auditorium this season.

2. SCHOOL-TOURING PROGRAMS

 

Kaleidoscope has a variety of shows available to schools this year, including the historically accurate, “Pocahontas!”

 

If you have any questions about any of the programs or are interested in bringing one of these award-winning shows into

4. SUPPORTING OUR MEMBERS

 

Emily Staples will be performing in “Triple-A-Cabaret”, an all abilities production by GEAR (Give Everyone a Role).

It is a family friendly vaudeville show, which will have a variety of acts including tap dancing, singing, juggling,

puppets & belly dancing. Performers are from the community, Perspectives Corp., Adeline LaPlante Center & Ocean State

Community Resources. Performances are scheduled for Saturday, November 12 at 7 pm & Sunday November 13 at 2pm

at South Kingstown High School.

 

Emily Luther (Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella) & a Berklee friend (Charlie Puth) made a music video in September that changed her life pretty radically! With it, they won the Perez Hilton cover competition and have been signed with

Ellen DeGeneres Eleven Eleven and Interscope Records. Congrats!!

 

Marianne Douglas (Fairy Godmother – Cinderella, Mrs. Johnson/Co-writer– B.U.L.L.Y.) will be holding free seminars for families (ages 13 and over) called “How to Thrive in Rocky Times” around Rhode Island throughout the month of November. Based on the multiple award winning “Strategies for Success” program she created for high schools, it offers families strategies for how to cope and thrive in our challenging times. Olivia Sczuroski (Friendly in Snow White, Young Thomas Rolf in Pocahontas) will be performing in “Annie” in early December for Bradley Playhouse Theatre, 30 Front St, Putnam, CT. (860) 928-7887.

 

Olivia Gesualdi (Sleepy, Doc in Snow White) is going to be playing Jasmine in the production of Aladdin, JR at the

Stadium Theater, Woonsocket, RI on Nov 4th, 5th and 6th.

 

Jamie Dellorco (Too many characters to list!, though most notably – Snow White) is performing for The Polar Express November 12, 13, 18, 20 and Dec 2, 3, 4, 11, 16, 17, 18.  Go to http://www.blackstonevalleypolarexpress.com/ for more details.

 

Christopher Schultz (King Alfonso-Cinderella, John Smith-Pocahontas, Papa Bear-Goldilocks) is leading Freedom Trail Tours, Holiday Strolls and Historic Pub Crawls in Boston.  Email chris@fairestories.com for more details.

 

Bob Macaux (Domenic in Sleeping Beauty) will be performing the 8th Annual Christmas Carol at the Artist's Exchange from December 8th-18th; and 3 special shows on December 22 & 23 at the historic Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. He will be playing Young Man Scrooge & thin man Solicitor. The show times start at 7:00 p.m. on December, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17 at the artist's exchange; plus 2 matinees on the 11th and 18th both at 2:00 p.m. There are 2 special shows on one day on the 22nd at the Rhodes of Pawtuxet including a 10:30 a.m. show and a 7:00 p.m. show. Eric Desnoyers will be in the playing a Who from Whoville in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” production in Universal

Studios theme park, Orlando FL.

 

Jessica Magro (BULLY Mom) is currently volunteering, directing and choreographing a mini musical for a large children’s community center in North Providence. The date is November 19 and all are welcome to come! Email for details: linmagro@cox.net
 


 

 

5. PARENTS SUPPORTING KALEIDOSCOPE (PSK)

 

We’re holding an informal, informational coffee hour on Monday, November 14 for “PSK” – Parents (and People)

Supporting Kaleidoscope. It will be hosted by our staff along with Kaleidoscope parent Chuck Sczuroski (his daughter Olivia has been Young Thomas Rolf in Pocahontas & Friendly in Snow White). Come see, and possibly join the group, and help choose the role PSK will be taking in Kaleidoscope’s future.
